What are rubber hoses used for?

Water pipes are familiar to everyone; they are conduits for transporting water. In recent years, with the development of the times and the improvement of living standards, there are more and more materials for water pipes used in home decoration, and their durability is becoming stronger. Consumers often feel confused when purchasing them. So what are rubber water pipes, and what are they used for? Below, we will analyze this in detail, hoping to help you!
1. Composition of rubber water pipes: The pipe wall consists of three parts: an inner rubber layer, a braided rope layer, and an outer rubber layer; or it consists of five parts: an inner rubber layer, a braided rope layer, a middle rubber layer, a braided rope layer, and an outer rubber layer, commonly known as "three rubbers and two ropes."
2. Characteristics and uses: The pipe body is flexible and has a smooth surface. It is mainly used to transport air, inert gases, etc., and is an auxiliary product for air compressors and other equipment. Rubber hoses possess properties such as physiological inertness, UV resistance, ozone resistance, high and low temperature resistance (-80 to 300 degrees Celsius), high transparency, strong resilience, permanent compression resistance, oil resistance, impact resistance, acid and alkali resistance, abrasion resistance, flame retardancy, voltage resistance, and electrical conductivity.
The general production process includes open mixing, extrusion (inner rubber), braiding, drying, outer rubber coating (including TPX or fabric coating), vulcanization, peeling, pressure testing, and packaging. In fact, manufacturing rubber hoses is quite complex. They are mainly used to connect engines to air filters, engine to radiator systems, and automotive air conditioning systems. As a component of the intake system, they are close to the engine, therefore requiring high temperature resistance, oil resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, and low temperature resistance. The materials used vary depending on the processing technology, including radiator hoses and air conditioning hoses.
