1. EPDM resistance to outdoor and water-service aging. EPDM stays elastic under sunlight, ozone, rain, and repeated hot-cold water cycles. On rooftop HVAC lines, outdoor pump stations, and building service pipes, the surface is less prone to weather cracking and continues to flex through seasonal temperature changes.
2. Integrated cord and rubber body. Nylon cord layers are embedded and vulcanized inside the sphere rather than fitted as separate sleeves. Under pump vibration and cyclic line pressure, they spread load around the body and limit permanent deformation caused by local stretching.
3. Compact movement and noise isolation. The single-sphere shape takes up axial movement, lateral offset, and angular deflection without using much pipeline length. At chiller, heat exchanger, and circulation-pump connections, it cuts structural sound transmission and reduces repeated stress on adjacent threaded or welded joints.
Customization Capabilities
The connector is available from DN25 to DN3000 and PN6 to PN40, with DIN, ANSI, JIS, or GB flange drilling in coated carbon steel, SS304, or SS316.
The EPDM body can be specified in standard, food-contact, or special-temperature formulations. Reducer profiles, full-end sealing, and extended face-to-face lengths can be produced to match the installation.
Quality Control
EPDM compound composition and physical properties are checked before production. A rotorless vulcanizer confirms the curing curve, while molding temperature, pressure, and time are recorded for batch control. Finished connectors receive 100% surface and dimensional inspection and a hydrostatic test at 1.5 times working pressure. Selected production batches also undergo tensile and thermal-aging tests. Customer-appointed third-party inspection is accepted.
