Rubber Bellow Joint
Product Overview
The Rubber Bellow Joint is a corrugated rubber connector used to create a flexible connection between small-bore pipes and equipment. It is commonly installed on equipment ports, instrument lines, HVAC branches, water-treatment skids, and sanitary fluid systems.

Core Advantages
1. Short corrugated movement section. The bellows develops axial, lateral, and angular flexibility within a compact face-to-face length. At instrument branches, equipment ports, and small-bore pipe routes with limited clearance, the corrugations absorb thermal growth and connection offset without forcing the adjacent pipe into a bend.
2. Hydraulically formed, one-piece vulcanized body. Uniform corrugation geometry and continuous rubber reinforcement eliminate sleeve joints inside the pressure section. During repeated pump starts and temperature cycling, flexing is distributed along the bellows instead of concentrating at a seam or one sharp fold.
3. Smooth, media-matched inner surface. Food-contact EPDM or silicone forms a clean bore for water, food, and pharmaceutical fluids, while NBR handles oil-bearing media. Under repeated filling, draining, and cleaning, the smooth inner wall limits residue retention and preserves free movement of the corrugations.

Customization Capabilities
- Material selection: The wetted rubber is matched to the medium, cleaning method, and operating temperature.
- Connection design: Flanged or threaded ends and the face-to-face length can be built to the mating equipment.
- Bellows geometry: Bore diameter, corrugation count, and reinforcement can be adjusted for the required movement and pressure.
Quality Control
Each rubber batch is checked with a rotorless rheometer before forming. Reinforcement placement, corrugation geometry, vulcanization temperature, pressure, and cure time are recorded during production. Finished joints are inspected for surface defects, flange alignment, face-to-face length, and unrestricted bellows movement. Every unit receives a static pressure test at 1.5 times the design pressure together with an air-tightness check before packing.

FAQ
Q: Can a sample be supplied before production?
A: Yes. Standard samples are available, and a newly developed configuration normally requires 15 to 20 days after the drawing and material are confirmed.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: The minimum order quantity is 10 pieces. Different rubber compounds or end-connection formats may be combined after the specification list is approved.
Q: Can the bellows be installed on a vertical line?
A: Yes. The pipe must be independently supported so the rubber bellows does not carry the dead weight of the vertical pipe or connected equipment.
Q: Does the joint require an additional gasket?
A: That depends on the selected flange-face design. The approved drawing identifies whether the molded rubber sealing face is self-sealing or whether a separate gasket is required.
