The Large-diameter Hand-wrapped Rubber Ball With Limiters is a restrained flexible rubber joint for large-diameter pipelines. It is used in municipal water transmission, sewage-treatment plants, large pump stations, thermal-power circulating-water systems, flood-control drainage, and high-flow chemical pipelines.

1. Layer-by-layer hand-wrapped reinforcement for DN300 to DN3000 bodies. Technicians control cord direction, overlap, and tension around the full sphere. On large flexible surfaces exposed to high hydraulic thrust, the uniform lay-up prevents weak zones and distributes pressure strain through the complete circumference.

2. Adjustable limiter assembly. Tie rods and lug plates set the maximum extension between the flanges and restrain hydrostatic end load. At pump outlets and long transmission mains, the rods engage before pressure thrust stretches the rubber ball beyond its rated travel.

Each hand-wrapped layer is checked for cord direction, overlap, tension, and full rubber coverage before the next layer is applied. The finished lay-up is measured for wall uniformity before vulcanization. Flange dimensions, lug plates, tie rods, nuts, and coating are inspected against the approved drawing. Every joint receives dimensional inspection and 100% pressure and leak testing. Limiter travel is set and verified before the assembly is protected, braced, and packed in a reinforced wooden case.
